Comox – Building self-confidence and exploring entrepreneurship

You are a French-speaking immigrant woman and want to learn more about entrepreneurship? This activity is made for you!

Join a day of interactive workshops designed to boost your confidence and explore the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship for French-speaking women living in British Columbia.

The program includes two modules led by recognized experts, Myriam Verzat and Gaëtane Palardy, who will guide you through a reflective discussion on essential themes:

  • Confidence in oneself: Developing confidence in an entrepreneurial context & Identifying and overcoming the imposter syndrome
  • Introduction to entrepreneurship, return on experience and discussion

This day is divided into two workshops, providing a unique opportunity to draw inspiration from the experiences of other immigrant women, exchange ideas, and share your professional ambitions in a friendly and stimulating environment.

Who is this activity for?

This activity is for French-speaking immigrant women or residents of British Columbia who want to:

  • Explore the world of entrepreneurship,
  • Share their experiences,
  • Get informed and prepare to launch their project,
  • Or simply learn more.

Whether you’re an experienced entrepreneur, in the process of reflection, or simply curious, this event is for you!

Note: A light meal will be provided for lunch, as well as the option to have your child cared for. Please indicate any dietary restrictions and childcare needs in the registration form.

About the facilitators:

Myriam Verzat is a CNV-trained communication facilitator and artist. From France, she trained in CNV in Montreal and has been giving workshops for 7 years in Nanaimo to individuals, schools, and organizations. Passionate about dance, theater, and improvisation, she created several interactive shows and co-founded the bilingual collective Murmur to support artistic development. Myriam wants to share her passion for human connection and compassionate communication tools with women entrepreneurs in the project.

Gaëtane Palardy is a passionate entrepreneur in the fields of food, education, and tourism. After a career as a chef in prestigious establishments, she became a trainer in food safety and customer service. Her entrepreneurial journey, rich in experience, allows her to share her advice and expertise to help other women entrepreneurs succeed in their field.

This activity is part of the “Immigrant Women and Entrepreneurs” project, initiated by the SDECB. This day of workshops is made possible thanks to the support of the Réseau Femme Colombie-Britannique and the engagement of its ambassadors.
