SDÉCB's Commitment to the Planet
Achievement of Eco-Responsible Certification - Level 1
Since 2023, the SDÉCB has achieved ECORESPONSIBLE Level 1 certification from the Council of Sustainable Industries (CID). This certification was earned through participation in training sessions, workshops, and an evaluation of responsible practices within our network. It signifies our commitment to integrating and applying sustainable practices in all our activities and services.
SDÉCB's Carbon Footprint
Aligned with government goals to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% by 2030, the SDÉCB has assessed its own emissions. With help from Albor Pacific, an emissions inventory was performed, leading to tailored recommendations. Based on these findings, the SDÉCB is actively exploring strategies to minimize its environmental impact.
Employee Training and Awareness
Annually, SDÉCB employees engage in interactive training sessions and workshops to increase their awareness of environmental impacts. They receive training on topics such as Digital Collage, circular economy, and how to calculate the organization’s greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of these sessions is to educate and motivate employees to embrace easy daily actions that contribute to a broader collective effort towards sustainability.
