Speakers:
Jason Ong is the Director, Registration at Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC), based out of Burnaby. The Registration Department oversees the licensing process for applications for trainee status and professional registration. Much of Jason’s focus has been to help align EGBC’s policies and registration practices with the Professional Governance Act (PGA), which came into force for several BC professional regulators in the natural and built environment on February 5, 2021.
Leslie Woo is the Deputy Registrar and Associate General Counsel at ASTTBC. Leslie supports ASTTBC’s statutory committees in developing and establishing registration requirements, registration of applicants, maintaining the register and administering processes to ensure registrants’ compliance to the Professional Governance Act (PGA), Bylaws, Standards of Competency and Code of Ethics.
